Pricing

Features of photo pricings are the most flexible part of Photopickr. Pricing is divided into two main types:

Prices for Digital Format

This is for images what you offer in digital version. The ‘package’ name comes from the quantity limit what can be set, so not just a single image based pricing can be made. You can create as many pricings as you want and re-use them in any galleries.

You can link pricings to galleries. This means, if you can change a linked price it will affect all linked galleries, but already submitted orders won’t be affected.

Here some examples:

PackageSettings & Example Results
Charge by individual imageImages included in package: 0
Package price: 0$
Image price above package: 15$

So every selected image will cost 15$

If you select 15 images it will cost 225$
A ‘Small’ package with 5 imagesImages included in package: 5
Package price: 55$
Image price above package: 15$

If you select 5 images it will cost 55$

If you select 15 images it will cost:
55$+10×15$=205$
A ‘Large’ package with 10 imagesImages included in package: 10
Package price: 95$
Image price above package: 15$

If you select 10 images it will cost 95$

If you select 15 images it will cost:
95$+5×15$=175$

One gallery can be linked to multiple pricing packages. In that case, the app will take into account the number of selected image to choose the right package during the calculation.

Continuing the example above, assume that all 3 packages are available to the client:

The client selected:

  • 4 images -> Charge by individual image -> 60$
  • 5 images -> ‘Small’ package -> 55 $
  • 8 images -> ‘Small’ package -> 100 $
  • 10 images -> ‘Large’ package -> 95 $
  • 11 images -> ‘Large’ package -> 110 $

‘Images included in package’ parameter enforces the minimum amount of selection. So with 4 images the ‘Small’ and ‘Large’ package cannot be choosen. If you remove the ‘Charge by individual image’ package, clients will be enforced to choose at least 5 images.

Its up to you how to combine these packages together. You can define as many as you need and reuse them by linking to different galleries.

Prices for Print Formats

As the name shows, this refers printed photos. You can set simple prices for a given print size. For example:

SizePrice / piece
15×10 cm1$
17×13 cm2$

So if you link Print Price to a gallery and clients pick an image, they have the opportunity to add quantity of desired print size on each selected image.

  1. If you want to sell prints only, you have to link a ‘zero’ Pricing Package. Like this:

Images included in package: 0
Package price: 0$
Image price above package: 0$

2. If you use both Digital- and Print Prices in a gallery, clients cannot order prints only. The calculation will charge the choosen Pricing Package and Print amounts.

Currencies

You can define price amounts in any currency you want. But a gallery can be linked with Package/Print Pricings what have the same currency.
